Macaulay Culkin Wants A Role In Fantastic Beasts
Macaulay Culkin has sent out his CV to JK Rowling in the hopes of scoring a role in the Harry Potter prequel series.
Rowling has been under fire for a lack of diversity in the current cast -- most recently because the only Asian actor in The Crimes Of Grindelwald is taking on the role of Lord Voldemort’s snake, Nagini.
After Rowling defended the decision to cast Claudia Kim in the role -- Culkin tweeted his support, before very transparently asking if he might also join in the cast of the next Fantastic Beasts film.
Culkin does look like a relative of Harry Potter bad boy Draco Malfoy -- and bore an uncanny resemblance (sort of, mainly just the glasses) to Daniel Radcliffe when he acted in 1994's The Pagemaster.
Plus he did pull a little magic of his own in the first Home Alone film.
Plenty of Culkin fans are on board with the idea, but with a diversity problem -- and a Johnny Depp problem -- it seems like the producers of Fantastic Beasts might have their hands full at the moment.
Avid Twitter user JK Rowling is yet to respond.
