Mary Poppins Returns In First, Heart-Wrenching Trailer
Practically perfect in every way.
Disney released the first full trailer for Mary Poppins Returns which, you may have guessed, is the highly-anticipated sequel to the 1964 film starring Julie Andrews.
The sequel stars Emily Blunt in the titular role as the mystical nanny returns to the Banks children, Jane and Michael, to take on an all-new generation of children.
The film features new, original songs and an all-star cast including, but definitely not limited to, Meryl Streep, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Julie Walters, Ben Whishaw, Colin Firth, Angela Lansbury and even sees the return of Dick Van Dyke reprising his role from the original as Mr Dawes Jr.
The legendary actor isn't the only one reprising his role, the family's favourite kite even makes an appearance and it's not looking too bad for its age either.
As you can imagine, the attention to detail and the incredible cast have people READY to storm the cinemas with their magical carpet bags, umbrellas and a spoon full of sugar.
Mary Poppins Returns will float into cinemas across Aus on January 1, 2019.
