Amanda Bynes Splits From Fiance Just Three Weeks After Announcing Engagement
Amanda Bynes and her fiancé, Paul Michael, have called it quits just weeks after announcing their engagement over Instagram.
According to Michael, who became engaged to the star on Valentine's day, the pair have now ended their engagement but apparently remain on good terms.
“We did [split up],” he told the publication. “I love her though, she’s my best friend,” Michael told In Touch on Sunday.
It comes after speculation the pair had split when Bynes removed all photos featuring Michael, after previously flashing her massive engagement ring upon announcing the news.
“Engaged to tha [sic] love of my life,” she captioned a picture of her ring with a man's hand in the background.
Bynes first introduced the mystery man in an Instagram video where she opened up about the relationship to fans.
“Hey, everyone, this is Paul, my fiancé,” Bynes said in the clip with Michael. “I’m so lucky. As you can see, he’s drop-dead gorgeous. He’s also the best person on the face of the Earth.”
She also previously opened up about meeting Michael in rehab, saying she was "so happy now".
"Now I've remained sober for over a year -- same with Paul," the former Nickelodeon star said in an Instagram video in February. "I just wanted to let you know that I love you guys and I'm so happy now. I feel like I got what's mine and that is Paul."
Bynes has yet to comment on the split.
