Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Star Smuggles Turkey Sandwich In $2500 Oscars Red Carpet Purse

And the award for best snack planning goes to...

Looking pretty in pink, 'Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood's Julia Butters walked her very first Oscars red carpet in style -- and with a secret stashed in her purse.

Despite being only 10-years-old, Butters was decked out in a Christian Siriano gown and carrying a Marzook crystal orb bag.

The clutch retails for $2,495 USD and is covered in 2000 Swarovski crystals, but it was what was inside the clutch which really made the young actor a legend.

Apologising to "the vegans", Butters revealed that she had brought along a turkey sandwich, just in case the Oscars luncheon wasn't up-to-scratch.

Pink And Red Gowns Are Back In A Big Way On The 2020 Oscars Red Carpet

As the stars take to the red carpet, we're getting flashbacks to the 2019 Emmys.

Telling 'Variety', "Sometimes the food here is not for me... let's just say that. It's not for me," Butters also said she and her mum "collabed" on the sandwich.

The move could be in response to Best Actor nominee Joaquin Phoenix's attempts to introduce more plant-based options throughout this year's award's circuit.

The menu for the Oscars this year is said to be 70 percent plant-based and vegan after Phoenix's efforts. According to 'Insider', there will still be a few meat options including sustainably farmed smoked salmon and caviar in the shape of the Oscar statuettes.
