'Miss You So Much': Vanessa Bryant Remembers 'Best Friend' And 'Best Daddy' Kobe Bryant
Vanessa Bryant has penned another sweet tribute to her late husband Kobe after he and their 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas on January 26.
Sharing a heartwarming photo to Instagram on Wednesday, Vanessa gushed that the NBA great was her “best friend, the “best daddy” and a “loving husband”.
“Miss you so much,” she wrote of her “handsome,” “sweet,” “funny” and “silly” husband. She added, “Miss you," saying, ‘Bonjourno principessa/reina.'”
She also shared videos of the late 41-year-old from his interviews with "Extra" over the years, where he revealed that his daughters "just call me Daddy" with no nicknames. When asked about who he considers his best friend, the former Lakers star didn't miss a beat, saying, "My wife."
She also recently shared a tribute to daughter Gianna -- aka Gigi -- which featured an illustration imagining her daughter as a Los Angeles Laker and wearing her father's No. 24 jersey.
"Seeing my babygirl smile and happy again with a basketball 🏀 under her arm, wrapped in 💜💛 love just warmed my heart,'' she wrote on Instagram. "Thank you for this. @_vivalareina thank you!! My Gigi.❤️ #Mambacita"
It comes after Vanessa's first public statement on January 29 following the tragedy, when she posted a family photo to social media while thanking everyone for their outpouring of love and support.
"My girls and I want to thank the millions of people who’ve shown support and love during this horrific time,'' she wrote.
"Thank you for all the prayers. We definitely need them. We are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe — the amazing father of our children; and my beautiful, sweet Gianna — a loving, thoughtful, and wonderful daughter, and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianka, and Capri. We are also devastated for the families who lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share in their grief intimately."
