Justin Timberlake Breaks Silence On Cheating Rumours, Apologises To Wife Jessica Biel

Justin Timberlake has taken to Instagram to set the record straight about what really went down with his 'Palmer' co-star, Alisha Wainwright.

Nearly two weeks after he was snapped holding hands and getting cosy with co-star Alisha Wainwright during a boozy night in New Orleans, Justin Timberlake has spoken out over Instagram to clear up any cheating rumours.

The actor also apologised to his wife of seven years and mother of his four-year-old son, Silas -- Jessica Biel.

Is Justin Timberlake Stepping Out On Jessica Biel?

Some saucy pics have been snapped that might suggest JT is a cheater. Or do they?

Posting a lengthy note to his 'gram, the 38-year-old wrote, "I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family I feel it is important to address recent rumours that are hurting the people that I love."

"A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgement - but let me be clear - nothing happened between me and my costar," he continued.

"I drank way too much that night and I regret my behaviour. I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son. I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that."

'Absolutely Wrong': Jessica Biel Is Getting Slammed For Supporting An Anti-Vaxxer Bill

Jessica Biel has reportedly been revealed as a supporter of the anti-vaxxer movement.

He concluded the statement by saying, "I am incredibly proud to be working on 'Palmer'. Looking forward to continuing to make this movie and excited for people to see it."

Photos of Timberlake and his 'Palmer' co-star circulated widely on social media but he, Wainwright and Biel all stayed quiet amid the swirling rumours.

Following the post, JT has received a wave of support from fans, with some insisting there was no need to explain himself in the first place.

"@jtimberlake you don’t have to explain yourself to anyone," a fan named Chris Blake wrote on Twitter. "Your family, friends & fans respect & love you for being the amazing human being you are. Period. Any son would be proud to have you as his father. Can’t wait to see Palmer. Much love, JT."

Jessica Biel has yet to publically speak out on the claims and her husband's apology.
