Pink Says She's 'Stepping Away' From Music To Focus On Family

After a busy couple of years, Pink has revealed she will be taking a break from creating and performing music to focus on her two children -- Willow, eight, Jameson, two, and her husband, Carey Hart.

Appearing on the red carpet at the Country Music Awards in Nashville this week alongside her family, Pink -- real name Alecia Moore -- revealed her plans to take some time away from the limelight.

"We did two and a half years of [music], and Willow’s back in school now,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

“Jameson’s going to start preschool soon. It’s kind of the year of the family. And Carey has a lot going on as well. He’s super supportive, he follows me around the world and now it’s his turn.”

When asked why she chooses to bring the entire family out to red carpet events, the singer said, “They just make it fun for me. They have so much fun. There’s just so much to see, and it’s really cool. This is [Willow’s] second CMAs. She was a princess last time.”

Pink also spoke out about her longtime relationship with husband Carey Hart, 44, saying that “we fight for each other” and that he "deserves a trophy", despite having taken breaks throughout their relationship.

Pink Won't Be Posting About Her Kids On Social Media Anymore

Pink is not here for your comments about her parenting.

The pair first met at the X Games in 2001, with Pink proposing to Carey in 2005 during one of his races by holding a sign which read ‘Will you marry me?’

They were married in 2006 in Costa Rica but separated in 2008 before reconciling later that year.
