Ruby Rose Shares Cryptic Posts Following Ex Jess Origliasso's Engagement Announcement
Just days after The Veronicas' Jessica Origliasso announced her engagement to partner Kai Carlton, her ex Ruby Rose has taken to social media to share some telling posts.
Ruby and Jess -- who split in April 2018 after nearly two years of dating -- have regularly slammed each other over social media following the end of their tumultuous relationship, however, it looks like 'Catwoman' star Ruby may have had a change of heart.
Sharing a series of posts to her Instagram account, the 33-year-old spoke about “real relationships” and “fighting for love”, which many took to be a reference to her muso ex.
“A real relationship has fights,” read one post Ruby shared, with another stating, “We fall in love with three people in our lifetime,” which the actress captioned “I love this”.
On Tuesday, a day before Jess announced her engagement to her new partner, Ruby shared a post that read, "Maybe they will choose you... maybe they won't. But none of it matters if you choose yourself."
Jess first revealed she was engaged to Kai Carlton last Wednesday, where the pair both shared the happy news on social media.
“Happy 1 year & THE REST OF MY LIFE with you @kaigodlike,” the singer captioned her announcement. “I’ve been happy crying for 2 hours. I’ve never felt so full.”
Kai and Jess have been dating since November 2018 -- seven months after the singer split with Ruby Rose.
Ruby's posts come a year after Jess blasted her for congratulating her on her relationship with Kai, with Jess calling out Ruby in her own Instagram comments.
"I have requested you not contact me for over [four months] now," she wrote back to Rose.
"You have been given my grace of being ignored on every other private platform, so the fact you continue to ignore this to contact me here publicly under the guise of wishing me well, is continued harassment," she stated.
As well as that, in a now-deleted tweet following Australia's 'yes' vote for marriage equality, Ruby took a swipe at Jess' twin sister Lisa Origliasso.
“So glad to see Lisa Origliasso screaming in excitement about the yes vote after telling us she thinks we should feel ‘lucky’ we don’t get stoned to death like they do in other countries and to get over it a few months ago.
"Really warms my heart,” Ruby wrote.
