Kevin Hart's Wife Eniko Parrish Breaks Her Silence On His Car Crash
Kevin Hart's wife Eniko Parrish has updated fans on his condition after he and two others were involved in a car crash in Calabasas, California, over the weekend.
Speaking to TMZ on the way to visit Hart, Parrish told cameras he was "going to be just fine" after reportedly undergoing back surgery less than 24 hours after the horrific crash, which saw the actor-comedian suffer "major back injuries".
TMZ added that a source revealed the star is expected to remain in the hospital for "at least a couple of days" while he recovers from going under the knife.
Hart, 40, had been a passenger, along with driver Jared Black and his fiancee Rebecca Broxterman in his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda when it went off Mulholland Highway and rolled down an embankment around 12.45am on Sunday.
The crash was reportedly so horrific that that fire department were forced to saw off the top of the car in order to free the trapped driver and female passenger.
Hart and Black checked into a local hospital after the accident, while Broxterman was uninjured.
Following the news of the accident, celebrities, friends and fellow comedians were quick to send their support to Hart as he recovers from his injuries, with Bryan Cranston, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Marlon Wayans and Terry Crews among the many sending their well wishes to the 'Jumanji' star.
“Stop messing with my emotions brother,” Johnson wrote on a photo of the pair on set for 'Jumanji'. “We have a lot more laughing to do together. Love you man. Stay strong.”
Kevin bought the car back in July as a 40th birthday gift to himself and had posed alongside the new ride in a photo uploaded to Instagram with a caption that read, “I added some more muscle to the family for my 40th …. welcome home ‘Menace’ #MuscleCarLover".
The driver of the car was "determined not to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision."
