'I Am Not A Liar': Miley Cyrus Breaks Silence On Cheating Rumours In Explosive Rant
With the rumour mill in overdrive following Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's marriage breakdown, the singer has come back swinging at those who have accused her of cheating on the Aussie actor.
After the longterm loves announced their separation on August 10, Miley was quickly seen getting cosy with 'The Hills' star Brody Jenner's ex, Kaitlynn Carter, while holidaying in Italy.
Upon the revelation that the pair were spending more time together, whispers grew louder that the "Slide Away" songstress had cheated on Liam during their eight-month marriage, hence why the pair had called time on their decade-long romance.
However, in a series of explosive tweets and later an Instagram post, Miley hit back at the damning claims and vehemently denied ever cheating on her estranged husband, while acknowledging her wild past.
“I can accept that the life I’ve chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public, 100% of the time. What I cannot accept is being told I’m lying to cover up a crime I haven’t committed. I have nothing to hide,” she wrote in her first tweet.
"It is no secret that I was into partying in my teens and early 20’s. I have not only smoked, but advocated for weed, I’ve experimented with drugs, my biggest song to date is about dancing on molly and snorting lines in the bathroom."
She continued in a series of rapid-fire tweets, "I f****d up and cheated in relationships when I was young. I lost a massive Walmart deal at 17 for ripping a bong. I got kicked off hotel Transylvania for buying Liam a penis cake for his birthday and licking it."
Miley continued: "But the truth is, once Liam & I reconciled, I meant it, & I was committed. There are NO secrets to uncover here. I’ve learned from every experience in my life. I’m not perfect, I don’t want to be, it’s boring. I’ve grown up in front of you, but the bottom line is, I HAVE GROWN UP."
"I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will."
Liam has remained relatively quiet following the highly-publicised breakup, save for captioning a photo on Instagram that confirmed the split and saying he wished Miley "nothing but happiness" following their split.
Meanwhile, Kaitlynn and Brody seem to be on amicable terms since their own marriage dissolved, with 'The Hills' star posting a weed bouquet that Kaitlynn and Miley had sent him for his birthday.
The reality star posted a picture of the gift to his Instagram story along with a with a card that read: "Brody, WEED like to wish you a happy birthday! Love you! Miley + Kaitlynn."
Brody said in the clip: "Miley and Kaitlynn, you guys really stepped it up on this one," he said in the clip. "We got the birthday card attached to the weed bouquet. Look at this! I've never seen one of these in my entire life… Happy birthday to me."
