Natalie Imbruglia Is Expecting Her First Child With 'Help Of IVF And A Sperm Donor'
Natalie Imbruglia has revealed to fans via social media that she's expecting her first child.
The Aussie singer -- best known for her 1997 hit "Torn" -- was glowing as she debuted her growing baby bump on Instagram.
Announcing the happy news in a post that also revealed she had signed a new record deal with BMG, Imbruglia, 44, posted two snaps in one post -- one being a group photo, and the second showing her smiling as she debuting her growing baby bump.
"No I haven’t swallowed a watermelon,” she joked. “I’m expecting my first child this Autumn. For those of you that know me, this has been something I have wanted for a very long time and I’m blessed that this is possible with the help of IVF and a sperm donor — I won’t be saying anything more on that publicly.”
“I’m so excited about this next adventure … a new album and I’m going to be a mum!” she added.
Friends, fans and fellow celebs were quick to congratulate the star on the amazing news, with Spice Girls' Mel C writing: “You’re gonna be an AMAZING Mummy and you’re already an AMAZING recording artist,” Chisholm went on. “Love ya.”
Elizabeth Hurley also sent her well wishes to Imbruglia, saying, “Yay!!!!!! Congratulations."
Imbruglia had previously been married to Silverchair rocker Daniel Johns from 2003 to 2008 and has also been linked to Lenny Kravitz, David Schwimmer, Chris Martin, and most recently, photographer Matt Field. However, in a post from late May, the singer used the tag "#allthesingleladies", suggested she and Field had split.
