'Dog The Bounty Hunter' Star Beth Chapman In Medically-Induced Coma
Beth Chapman, star of the series named after her husband 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' has been placed in a medically-induced coma according to several reports.
Chapman has been battling throat cancer for several years and 'TMZ' are reporting that she was hospitalised over the weekend due to complications with her breathing.
Her husband Duane "Dog" Chapman tweeted overnight, "Please say your prayers for Beth right now thank you love you". He then confirmed the news by tweeting an article announcing the news of Beth's status.
The Chapmans rose to fame in 2004 with "Dog the Bounty Hunter", which followed their family and their bounty hunting careers. In 2015 Doug and Beth starred in a spin-off series "Dog and Beth: On the Hunt" which ran until 2017.
Later that year a two-hour special aired called "Dog and Beth: Fight of their Lives" which focused on Beth's throat cancer diagnosis.
Duane and Beth have spent more than three decades in the bail bond industry and starred in over 130 episodes of the original series.
In January, the pair signed a deal for another series 'Dog's Most Wanted', the trailer for which showed Beth in a hospital bed.
"My wife, the love of my life, is fighting for her life and instead of being at home helping her, I'm out here looking for you," Chapman says in the short clip. "So I'm warning you in advance, may God have mercy on you when I catch you. Because I won't."
