The Woman Who Leaned Over Beyoncé Is Getting Death Threats

The woman who was snapped leaning over Beyoncé to chat to Jay-Z has been receiving death threats.

Nicole Curran -- the wife of Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob -- was seated next to the famous couple at an NBA finals game in California and has been mercilessly trolled by the Bey Hive after she was filmed leaning over Beyonce to have a conversation with Jay-Z.

The footage and images of the scene quickly went viral, with fans remarking that Beyoncé looked visibly uncomfortable.

Curran's Instagram has since been inundated with bee emojis (the online calling card of cranky Beyoncé fans) and she was eventually forced to shut down her account after receiving death threats.

ESPN journalist Ramona Shelburne wrote on Twitter that she had spoken to Curran about the "incident with Beyoncé".

"She was in tears. Said she had been getting death threats on social media all night. This morning she disabled her IG account just to make it stop," Shelburne wrote on Twitter.

Shelburne added that the Curran said the conversation caught on camera was her "being a good hostess" asking Beyoncé, then Jay-Z if they wanted any drinks. She reportedly didn't hear Jay-Z's reply, which is when she leaned closer.

“I’ve never experienced cyberbullying like this," Curran said. "I can’t believe our players go through this. That kids go through this.“

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have not publicly responded to the incident but Beyoncé's publicist Yvette Nicole Shure pleaded with the Bey Hive on Instagram not to "spew hate".

"I know your love runs deep but that love has to be given to every human," she wrote.
