Olivia Colman Receives Royal Honour From Queen Elizabeth

Olivia Colman has been recognised by Queen Elizabeth in her annual birthday honours list.

The Academy Award-winning actor has been awarded a CBE (Commander of the British Empire) for her services to drama.

"I'm totally thrilled, delighted and humbled to be in the company of these incredible people, most of whom have been nowhere near as visible as I have, but should be -- and hopefully now will be," Colman said in a statement published by the BBC.

"It's such an honour," she added.

Colman won an Oscar earlier this year for her performance in 'The Favourite' as Queen Anne, alongside Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz.

She's also set to take the baton from Claire Foy to play Queen Elizabeth in the upcoming third season of 'The Crown', looking almost identical to the '70s era monarch in a promo photo released by Netflix.

So it's no wonder she's caught the attention of Queen Elizabeth and scored a much deserved CBE.
