Lamar Odom Claims Brothel Owner 'Tried To Kill Him' The Night He Nearly Died

He also said he did not take any drugs the night he overdosed at the Love Ranch brothel in Nevada in 2015.

In an interview to promote his memoir on 'The View', Lamar Odom opened up about the night he infamously overdosed and nearly died while at a brothel in Nevada back on October 13, 2015.

While it was widely reported that the basketball player had overdosed following a four-day bender at Hof's Love Ranch, Odom has now disputed the claims, saying that he did not take drugs that night and that he believes that brothel owner Dennis Hof may have poisoned him.

“I think Dennis Hof… I don’t know what he had against me, but I didn’t do drugs that night, to be honest with you,” Odom said. “So I don’t know if he tried to poison me, or… I don’t know what he had against me. He tried to kill me.”

When asked if he had any proof to support the wild allegation, Odom said he did not, but that his lawyer spoke to various workers at the brothel who backed up the claim.

“He almost succeeded, though,” Odom said. “I didn’t [take drugs that night]. I’ve been at odds with my daughter [Destiny] about this. She’s like, ‘Leave it alone'. I would like to clear my name.”

Following the bombshell, TMZ asked the star why he thought Hof, who died in 2018, would want to poison him, with Odom replying, “I would like to ask him that question, too. I don’t know. That’s a question I asked myself when I was waking up.”

After being found unconscious and foaming at the mouth, Odom then suffered 12 strokes and six heart attacks and was initially unable to walk or talk upon waking up in the hospital. Cocaine was among the drugs that had been found in his system.

It's just one of the many shocking revelations to come from his book, Darkness to Light, which details his drug addiction, his grief over his young son's death, as well as his doomed marriage to Khloe Kardashian, who he said he "threatened to kill" during one of his drug binges.

“Khloé came down and knocked on the door. I opened it suddenly and grabbed her forcefully by the shoulders, which frightened her. ‘What the f**k are you doing?’ I screamed, out of my mind. ‘You trying to embarrass me in front of my friends? I’ll f**king kill you! You don’t know what I’m capable of!'” he wrote.

The pair's tumultuous marriage ultimately ended in divorce in 2016.
