Sophie Turner Reveals How Joe Jonas 'Saved Her Life'

Ahead of the final episode of 'Game of Thrones', Sophie Turner has opened up about her relationship with husband Joe Jonas.

Sophie Turner has said again gotten candid about her struggles with mental health, revealing that her new husband Joe Jonas 'saved her life' at a point where she was "very mentally unwell".

In a raw interview with The Sunday Times, the actress said, "Having your adolescence being displayed in public, that’s something I really wish hadn’t happened."

"Being in the age of social media when that’s happening, I think I would be a much saner person if I hadn’t been documented from 13 -- your most awkward, uncomfortable, unsure-of-yourself years," she said, referring to joining the 'Game of Thrones' cast as Sansa Stark at the age of 13.

She added that she became "desperately unhappy" until she met her future husband, Jonas Brothers' Joe Jonas at the age of 20.

“I was going through this phase of being very mentally unwell,” she said. ”He was like ‘I can’t be with you until you love yourself, I can’t see you love me more than you love yourself’."

“That was something, him doing that. I think he kind of saved my life in a way.”

She also shared that the pair broke up prior to marrying in a surprise Vegas wedding after the Billboard Music Awards earlier this month -- but only for a day.

“It was the worst day of our lives,” she said. “For a second we both had cold feet, then 24 hours later we were both, like, ‘Never mind.’"

Sophie has regularly opened up about the adorable couple's close relationship, saying in an interview earlier this month, “When someone tells you they love you every day, it makes you really think about why that is, and I think that makes you love yourself a bit more. So yeah, I love myself.”
