Kim Kardashian-West Has Revealed The Name of Her Fourth Child
Move over North, Saint and Chicago -- Psalm has arrived.
Kim Kardashian-West has revealed the name she and husband Kanye West have bestowed upon their fourth blessing.
Their second son has been named Psalm, Kim revealed in an Instagram post on Saturday, which also showed the baby's first social media photo.
"Beautiful Mother's Day, with the arrival of our fourth child. We are blessed beyond measure. We have everything we need."
Psalm joins older siblings North, five, Saint, three, and Chicago, one.
Kim announced his birth on Friday in a tweet: “Here’s here and he’s perfect!”
She followed up minutes later with, “He’s also Chicago’s twin lol I’m sure he will change a lot but now he looks just like her.”
A psalm is a sacred song or hymn, in particular any of those contained in the biblical Book of Psalms and used in Christian and Jewish worship.
The name isn't currently ranked on baby name popularity charts or U.S. births.
Psalm -- like his sister Chicago -- was born to a surrogate due to Kim suffering placenta accreta, a condition where placenta is hard to remove after birth.
According to the American Pregnancy Association, placenta accreta is when the placenta -- which develops during pregnancy -- attaches too deep in the uterine wall, making it hard to detach and remove during birth.
Both Kim and Kanye have spoken at length about their Christian beliefs, especially in recent years.
In an interview with VOGUE, Kim opened about her family being “really religious.”
“We start our day with a group chat with a Bible verse from my mom, and everyone chimes in on the meaning of it,” she revealed. “We are very Christian -- and our work ethic and our discipline comes from so many years at Catholic school.”
One of Kanye's most beloved hits was 2004's groundbreaking "Jesus Walks", and the rapper has recently made headlines with his Sunday Service sessions.
He recently came under fire from religious fans for selling pricey 'Church Merch' apparel, with slogans like 'Trust God', 'Holy Spirit' and 'Jesus Walks'.
