Noel Gallagher Sings 'Wonderwall' With Manchester City Fans
Oasis' Noel Gallagher may have had a relationship with the 1995 hit that's been as tumultuous as the one with his brother Liam, but he wasn't about to stop fans from celebrating with his tune.
As the Manc City team and fans screamed along to the classic, cameras quickly found Noel in the audience, looking positively thrilled to join in.
Noel's been outspoken in the past about not really getting the hype over the track, telling Absolute Radio in 2017:
“'Wonderwall’ has become a worldwide hit, and I will get stopped all over the world, in any city you care to name, and people will sing ‘Wonderwall’,” he said. “I don’t particularly like that song – I think ‘Cigarettes And Alcohol’ is a far superior song.”
He's also said that it "annoys the f**k" out of him that "Wonderwall" is Oasis' biggest hit, because "it's not a f**king rock'n'roll tune".
"When people come upto me and say it's one of the greatest tunes ever written, I think: F**kin' hell, have you heard 'Live Forever'?" he continued.
Still, the Manchester legend has also been quoted as saying that "you can't get bored of 15,000 people shouting for 'Wonderwall'," calling the feeling "better than drugs", so that's probably what's going on here.
Anyway, here's "Wonderwall":
