Power Rangers Star Dead, Aged 38

New Zealand actor Pua Magasiva has died, with his production company confirming his death on Sunday morning.

Magasiva was known for his role on New Zealand's long-running soap 'Shortland Street'  where he starred as Vinnie Kruse for more than 450 episodes.

He went on to star in the 'Power Rangers' spin-off, 'Power Rangers Ninja Storm' as Red Wind Ranger Shane Clarke. Magasiva was one of the few Samoan actors to join the Rangers franchise, and the first to take up the mantle of Red Ranger.

The 38-year-old and father also co-hosted a morning radio show on NZME up until last year.

"We are all absolutely devastated at the tragic news regarding Pua Magasiva," 'Shortland Street' production company, South Pacific Pictures, wrote on social media.
