Suspicious White Powder Sent To Monty Python Star Eric Idle's LA Home

The home of comedian Eric Idle and wife Tania Kosevich has been evacuated following a suspected anthrax scare.

Police were called to the couple's Hollywood Hills house after an envelope containing a mysterious white powder was opened, NBC4 reports.

The mail was reportedly certified in Thailand and, although the powdery substance has not yet been identified, officials are reportedly treating the situation as an anthrax scare.

Emergency services attended the scene and a Hazmat team is currently investigating the composition of the powder.

Idle, 76, is best known for his work with British comedy legends Monty Python and for co-writing the Spamalot musical.
