Lil Xan's Fiancée Reveals That She Suffered A Miscarriage
Trigger Warning: This article discusses miscarriage.
Rapper Lil Xan's (real name Nicholas Diego Leanos) partner, Annie Smith, has revealed in an emotional Instagram post that the pair have suffered a miscarriage.
Annie posted a series of emotional videos and photos on Instagram, which was accompanied by a long caption dedicated to their unborn child.
"These were taken the first day we met and the first few months we knew each other. Feels like a lifetime ago," she wrote.
"The moment I met you I knew you were special. I fell head over heels in love with you and only love you more and more every single day. I didn’t know it was possible to feel this way about another human. Starting a family with you has been the most magical, beautiful blessing God has given me."
"Today I feel a hurt I never knew existed."
She continued, "A pain that comes from my soul. To my beautiful angel, mommy loves you more than she ever knew possible. You have made me the happiest woman in the world knowing I had the chance to be your mommy."
"Feeling you grow inside my body has been the most special gift I have been given, my prayers were answered with you. I wish more than anything that I could meet you, hold you and love you. Teach you all the beautiful things in life and show you the world. I wish you could’ve known how truly blessed you were to have a daddy like Diego. We love you little angel. Always ♥️," she concluded.
Lil Xan, who is currently on tour, seemed to allude to the sad news during his Instagram story over the weekend but didn't reference the event specifically.
"Hey guys I'm really not feeling well today," he said in his story. "I'm sorry if I'm M.I.A. for the next few days, I just need to get my mind right. I love you guys to death."
The couple first announced the pregnancy back in February, just five months after the Soundcloud rapper called it quits with Noah Cyrus.
"I wanted to wait but I just can’t leave my fans in the dark, it’s official I'm going to be a father," he wrote on Instagram on February 18.
Following the announcement earlier this year, the couple were immediately targeted by relentless trolls who were convinced they were 'faking' their pregnancy -- something Annie revealed had been "hard for her to deal with."
"The fact that it's basically being ruined or tarnished by the Internet is heartbreaking to me and it's really, really hard for me to deal with," she said during another Instagram story. "I'm already very hormonal and sensitive and it's just a really hard thing to talk about but I just feel like you deserve to hear from me what's going on because it's clearly been twisted around."
She mentioned in that same Instagram story that she had been hesitant to share the pregnancy news as she was wary she could suffer a miscarriage.
"It's just really personal and I was just so excited when I first found out and of course I'm still so excited but I just really want to keep it private between [Lil Xan] and I God forbid something happened," she said. "My worst nightmare is having a miscarriage… I just don't even come on the Internet anymore."
Our thoughts go out to Annie and Lil Xan at this difficult time.
