Rapper Nipsey Hussle Shot Dead In Los Angeles
Rapper Nipsey Hussle -- who was nominated for Best Rap Album at this year's Grammys -- has been killed following in a shooting in Los Angeles today.
Hussle -- whose real name is Ermias Ashgedom -- was fatally shot multiple times outside his store, Marathon Clothing, located on Slauson Avenue in south Los Angeles. Two others were reportedly injured.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area, and law enforcement have since confirmed that Hussle was pronounced dead in hospital.
In a strange twist, the most recent tweet made by the rapper reads: "Having strong enemies is a blessing."
The 33-year-old had recently been working on a documentary about Dr. Sebi, a self-taught pathologist, herbalist, biochemist, and naturalist, who apparently cured the incurable from blindness, cancer, diabetes, HIV, herpes, and was killed after being arrested by Honduran police.
Fans and celebs have since paid tribute to the artist over social media, with the LA Clippers honouring him at their game following the news.
Hussle is survived by his two children and his longtime girlfriend, Lauren London, with whom he welcomed a child with in 2016.
