Shane West Just Surprised Mandy Moore At Her Walk Of Fame Ceremony
Mandy Moore has been honoured with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The singer and actor was joined by her former A Walk To Remember co-star Shane West at the official ceremony in LA, and the pair reminisced about their time on set together back in 2002, People reports.
“We couldn’t have been more opposite when we met,” West told the crowd of the first time he spoke to the then 16-year-old Moore.
West said that he was busy making "dubious hair choices" and wearing eyeliner while Moore was "killing it on the pop scene", (her smash single "Candy" had come out the year before).
“I was trying to get you to listen to The Clash or the Ramones," he said. "You were not interested but you were very sweet about it, and you stuck to your Fleetwood Mac. Always Fleetwood Mac,” he said.
Which is why director Adam Shankman apparently paired the two "opposites" together for the extremely depressing teen flick.
"And I'm glad he did," said West.
The actor also revealed that he had a surprise for Moore -- a photo of the pair as teens on the set of A Walk To Remember.
"Not only was this film a wonderful experience in every way, but it also gave me the chance to fall for this fantastic woman," said West.
Moore later gave West a shout out on Instagram, thanking him for his "kind words on this very special day, one which I will never forget.
"It was a walk (of fame) to remember," she added, posting an adorable recreation of a still from the film.
