Hailey Baldwin Is Over Justin Bieber's 'Possessive' Fans
Newlywed Hailey Bieber -- née Baldwin -- opened up about married life to one of the world's biggest pop stars, Justin Bieber.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan, the model got real about the more difficult aspects of married life -- including dealing with JB's notoriously protective Beliebers.
“The problem too is kids become possessive over people and feel like if they think they’re hurt, they feel hurt for them and they’re hurt too, or whatever it is,” she explained.
"They just think they know these people who are famous because their life is so exposed. And that’s what gets me, I think, the most frustrated.”
She added that despite sharing their lives on social media, there's so much more to celebrities' lives that isn't showcased on social media.
“I’m like, you actually don’t know me. You don’t know him. You don’t know her, you don’t know these people for real. What’s really weird to me is they create scenarios in their head of what they think is happening or what they think should happen, and I’m just like, ‘This is just so dumb. It’s so dumb,’" she said.
Hailey has been open in the past about taking much-needed breaks from social media for her mental health, saying that Instagram and social platforms can do “something to your soul” if you begin to take it too seriously.
"I think something that people have to remember is there's some sort of freedom people feel behind a computer screen. They think that they can just have this alternate persona and just bully people and make themselves feel better, to people that they don't even know," she told BuzzFeed in January.
"It just makes you start to second guess so many things if you really feed into it. It just does something to your soul, I think, if you pay too close attention to it."
