Paris Hilton Supports Michael Jackson In The Wake Of 'Leaving Neverland'

Don't expect Paris Hilton to stop playing Michael Jackson during her DJ sets anytime soon.

The reality star, socialite and DJ was caught by X17 Online paps the other day, who asked her if she was planning to remove R. Kelly and Michael Jackson from her set lists.

While she stayed mum on R. Kelly, she responded "Michael Jackson's an icon" and referred to the late singer as "my family".

Michael Jackson was a close family friend of the Hiltons after attending high school with Paris' mother, Kathy Hilton.

"We met when I was 13 and he was 14, and developed a friendship and a bond throughout the years. And we always kept in touch,” Kathy told Piers Morgan in 2011.

And the fact that both of their daughters are named Paris is no accident.

Speaking to Healthy Living magazine back in 2014, Paris (Hilton) explained how she came to share her name with Paris Jackson, revealing that Michael and her mum "made a pact when they were teenagers".

"They said that whoever has the first girl gets to name her Paris," she said, adding: "I was born first and then when Paris [Jackson] was born Michael called my mom and said, 'We had that pact but I really love the name Paris, do you mind if my daughter is Paris too?' And my mom said, 'Yes, of course, go ahead'. It’s a cute story."

Leaving Neverland is streaming now on 10 Play and 10 All Access.
