Amy Schumer Forced To Cancel Tour Due To Pregnancy Complications
Amy Schumer has been forced to cancel a series of shows in the lead up to her baby's due date.
The comedian has been experiencing complications from hyperemesis gravidarum throughout her entire pregnancy -- which causes "severe" nausea and vomiting.
"The baby and I are healthy and everything looks good," Schumer wrote on Instagram."But I am in my 3rd trimester and I am still nauseous all the time and vomiting," she said.
"I vomit mostly every time I ride in a car even for 5 minutes. I have a pretty good attitude about it and some days I feel good for a couple hours," Schumer added.
But the I Feel Pretty star explained that even if she gets a brief reprieve -- vomiting around the clock "mostly sucks".
Schumer said she hadn't been cleared to get on a plane because of her continued battle with hyperemesis,
"I am going to cancel the remainder of my tour," she said, adding that ticket sales would be fully refunded.
She explained that she hadn't made the decision lightly and would have loved to push through to perform the planned shows in Phoenix, Houston, Dallas and Austin.
"Because I hate letting people down and I love stand up and money!" she joked.
"But more than that I have to think about my health and the baby. I know you guys get it and people are like, bitch, are you ok? Take it easy but it's still embarrassing to cancel," she said.
Schumer first announced her pregnancy in October 2018, nearly eight months after marrying her husband, Chris Fisher in Malibu.
