'Scrubs' Star Sam Lloyd Diagnosed With Cancer Weeks After Welcoming First Child
Friends and family of the star -- who is best known for playing lawyer Ted on Scrubs -- have created a GoFundMe to help to assist Lloyd with medical costs.
Just weeks after Sam Lloyd and his wife Vanessa welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Weston, the actor reportedly began suffering from headaches and unexpected weight loss -- which he attributed to the usual hectic schedule of a new parent.
According to the GoFundMe page, as the headaches worsened, Lloyd then received a CT scan which revealed the devastating news that the headaches had been caused by a brain tumour.
"Unfortunately the tumour was too intertwined so the surgeons couldn’t remove it," the GoFundMe read. "By Sunday, Sam and Vanessa were informed that the cancer in his brain had metastasized from his lungs. Further scans showed the cancer was also in his liver, spine, and jaw."
Despite the news, the Sam and Vanessa are reportedly staying "strong and positive."
