Robbie Williams Is In The Middle Of A Petty Neighbourly Feud With Jimmy Page
It's a classic 'neighbours from hell' tale -- but with A-list celebrities.
Robbie Williams has reportedly been involved in a feud with Led Zeppelin legend Jimmy Page for years now, but the fight has escalated to a deliciously petty level.
The former Take That member has apparently been "playing loud 70s rock music on outside speakers when he views Jimmy Page outside his home" in London, the BBC reports.
"What's been most annoying is Mr Williams has played rock arch-rival bands Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd and Deep Purple," a complaint sent to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea reads.
He's also taken to "wearing a long hair wig, and stuffing a pillow under his shirt in an attempt to mock or imitate Mr Robert Plant's beer belly that he has acquired in his older age," the letter from a neighbour named 'Johnny' reads.
While your average neighbourly dispute is usually about a shared fence or a noisy dog -- Williams and Page are fussin' and a feudin' over a luxury indoor swimming pool, of course.
After five years of petitioning the council, Williams was finally granted permission to build a pool in his basement, but Page is worried that the excavation process will cause major structural damage to his heritage-listed mansion, which was built in 1875.
Famous people! They're most definitely not just like us!
Williams builders have previously been fined £4,670 ($8,324 AUD) after a complaint was made by Page about noise regulations.
However, Robbie Williams' rep told the Telegraph that the latest claims were "complete fabrication and nonsense".
