R. Kelly Is Reportedly Under Criminal Investigation Following Documentary

R&B singer R. Kelly is reportedly under criminal investigation in Georgia, after a revealing documentary aired this week.

Surviving R. Kelly included interviews with several women who made allegations of sexual abuse, assault and imprisonment by the performer.

TMZ is now reporting that the district attorney in Fulton County, Atlanta has launched a criminal investigation against R.Kelly, as a direct result of the docu-series.

The DA is reportedly reaching out to the women who shared their claims of abuse on the Lifetime series -- including Asante McGee.

"...If anyone has seen the docu-series has seen each one of us had our own story and have had our own experience with R. Kelly,” McGee told TMZ.

McGee and the other women who appeared in the docu-series were recently targeted by a pro-R.Kelly Facebook page set up to discredit them and disclose their personal information called 'Surviving Lies'. The page has since been shut down for violating Facebook's community standards.

R. Kelly has yet to respond to the claims made in the documentary but has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing in the past.
