Usher Files For Divorce From Wife Grace Miguel
The pair have been separated for the past nine months.
After three years of marriage, RnB star Usher has filed for divorce from Grace Miguel.
The former couple announced in a statement to Us Weekly back in March that they had planned to separate, saying, "After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple. We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives."
They added, "The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”
Usher and Grace began dating in 2009 after he divorced his second wife, Tameka Foster, and eloped in Cuba in September 2015.
The announcement comes following Usher’s herpes scandal, in which two women and one man accused Usher of infecting them with the STI, claiming they’ve had unprotected sex with the singer and that he never disclosed his alleged diagnosis.
Quantasia Sharpton held a news conference to detail her alleged sexual interaction with the singer, and the star was also sued for $20 million by singer Laura Helm, who also accused him of giving her herpes. The case was dismissed in November 2017.
Usher and Miguel have no children together, but the singer has two kids from his marriage to Foster, while Miguel has two children from a previous relationship.
