'Goodfellas' And 'Raging Bull' Actor Frank Adonis Has Died Age 83

The Brooklyn-born actor -- who appeared in dozens of classic mobster films and TV shows -- has passed away.

His wife Denise told TMZ that Adonis died in Las Vegas after suffering kidney problems for the past few years.

"He will be missed," his widow told TMZ. "He was a great father and an amazing husband. He helped all his friends he could. Great writer, director and actor. He was my best friend."

Adonis played real-life New York mobster Anthony Stabile in Martin Scorsese's classic 1990 feature, Goodfellas. The seasoned actor also had roles in Raging Bull, Casino, Wall Street, Ghost Dog and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. 

Later in his career, Adonis scored TV parts on The Sopranos and Law And Order: Criminal Intent.
