Hugh Jackman And Jake Gyllenhaal Pulled Off A Xmas Prank On Ryan Reynolds

Ryan Reynolds has been the victim of a cruel Christmas prank at the hands of close pals, Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal.

The Deadpool actor posted a photo to Instagram that showed him dressed in a daggy Christmas jumper with a giant gold bow as his so-called friends appeared in plain tees and jeans.

"These f***ing assholes said it was a sweater party," Reynolds wrote alongside the pic of Gyllenhaal and Jackman howling with laughter at their own devilish prank.

Basketball legend LeBron James gave his sympathies to Reynolds in the comments section but congratulated the pranksters for pulling off the Christmas caper.

"They ain't s**t for that," James wrote alongside a series of laughing emoji. "Still funny though."

It's everyone's worst nightmare to turn up to a costume party -- à la Bridget Jones's Playboy bunny moment -- to find you're the only one wearing a silly costume. So in the scheme of things, wearing a daggy, yet comfortable, festive jumper at Christmas time isn't too bad.

Reynolds seems to have gotten over the mild humiliation, with Gyllenhaal posting on his brand new IG account that "#HeForgaveMe".

But you can just tell from the look in Reynolds' eyes that he's cooking up a brutal revenge plan against his frenemies.
