Danny Devito Is Loving This Secret Bathroom Shrine Made In His Honour
All hail our patron saint of trash!
A video showing students at Purchase College in New York discovering a secret room with a shrine dedicated to Danny Devito hidden in the school's bathrooms has gone viral.

The room -- which was hidden behind the paper towel dispenser -- shows a concrete room with a shrine featuring the actor, along with several 'offerings' such as cigarettes and beer.
A sign next the monument read, “Leave An Offering for Our Lord and Savior Danny DeVito, Patron Saint of Trash Men.”
The work of art even managed to catch the eye of the It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia star himself, who posted a grateful message over twitter that read:
“Your shrine honours me,” he wrote. “My heart is filled with love and garbage. Tomorrow, as you may know, is my name day. Do something that makes you feel good. Above all be kind to each other. Pick up trash, recycle, and be aware of plastics in the ocean.”
Unfortunately, after the post became known across the net, a Facebook post later confirmed that the entrance to the sacred shrine had been sealed off once the school discovered the video. No word on whether the shrine was removed or if the paper cut out of Devito remains trapped in the room forever.
“It was good harmless fun for students for a long time,” one student told Mashable. “But sadly, all of the attention made the administration aware of it and they took it away.”
The bizarre news comes just in time for Devito's birthday today -- which has also been declared Danny DeVito Day in New Jersey.
Happy birthday to Danny, our patron saint of trash.
