Taylor Swift Donates $15,500 To Fan Whose Mum Is In A Coma

One Taylor Swift fan got the surprise of her life when the singer made a surprise US$15,500 donation to raise money for her mother who is in a coma.

Posting a heartbreaking note on Twitter earlier this month, 19-year-old Sadie spoke out about her mother Lauriann, who suffered an ulcer which bled out causing brain damage and leaving her in a coma.

“My Mom [sic] has been in a coma for three years now. She had an ulcer that bled out that led to a lack of oxygen to the brain which resulted in brain damage,” Sadie wrote on Twitter earlier this month. "I’m sorry I never said anything sooner and that I’m suddenly asking for help. I love you guys so much."

Sadie continued to outline how serious the situation was for her family while linking to a Go Fund Me page they had set up to cover medical costs.

"We take care of her at home full time, my dad is unable to work because he has to always be with my mum, my older brother and I have to provide for our family, my family is in trouble,” she added.

In the touching note, Sadie mentioned Taylor Swift and thanked the singer for "keeping me afloat through it all."

It appears that Tay Tay saw the message --  because she soon donated a staggering $15,500 to the cause (that's over $21,000 Aussie dollars).

She signed the donation "Love, Taylor, Meredith and Olivia Swift." Meredith and Olivia are the name of her famous cats.

After Taylor made the hefty contribution, Sadie thanked to star profusely in a Facebook message, explaining what the donation meant to her and her family.

"Everyone who knows me knows that Taylor Swift is my whole entire life. She has been there for me more than anyone. I really, truly, would not be who I am without her," she wrote. "She shows up every time I need her. She always has and she always will. I wish that I could express how much it means to me that ANYONE has helped my family over the years, let alone Taylor. She is the light at the end of the tunnel and is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me."
