The Other, Other Hemsworth Brother Stars In New Tourism Australia Ad
Cashing in on their massively viral 'Dundee' campaign, Tourism Australia has brought on Chris Hemsworth's brother.
No, not Liam, not Larry, but Luke! Luke Hemsworth! You know the one.
The eldest Hemsworth, and one of the stars of HBO's award-winning, mind-bending series Westworld has come on board to play a tour guide on the set of the fictional reboot for the Crocodile Dundee films.
By "the set", he obviously means -- you know -- the literal country of Australia.
Yep, in the latest tourism ad Luke "the other, other" Hemsworth (or "the original Hemsworth" as the new ad calls him) shows viewers around the sights of Australia as if it were a life-sized movie.
The initial campaign fooled fans of the original Paul Hogan films into thinking a Hollywood reboot was being made starring US actor Danny McBride as the long-lost son of Crocodile Dundee. It was eventually revealed to have been an elaborate sham for a massive Super Bowl ad.
The ad starred Chris AND Liam Hemsworth, Hugh Jackman, Margot Robbie, Ruby Rose, Isla Fisher, Russell Crowe, Luke Bracey, Jess Mauboy and a quick cameo from Paul Hogan himself!
The fake film's buzz also saw an actual project in the works for Hogan with an actual real movie, The Very Excellent Mr Dundee.
Tourism Australia's CMO Lisa Ronson told AdNews, "Casting Luke was a no-brainer, rounding out a ‘hat-trick of Hemsworths'.
"The brothers truly are three genuine Australians who perfectly epitomise the easy going, sense of fun that we know is such a big part of our country's international appeal," Ronson added.
