Mike From 'Jersey Shore' Is Going To Jail For Tax Evasion

Mike Sorrentino has been sentenced to eight months in prison after he was found guilty of tax evasion by a court in New Jersey.

The reality star -- affectionately known as ‘The Situation’ -- also has to serve 500 hours of community service and pay a $10,000 fine, CNN reports.

Sorrentino arrived at the Newark courthouse with support from his Jersey Shore castmates including Nicole Polizzi (Snooki), Jenni Farley (JWoww) and Ronnie Magro-Ortiz.

‘The Situation’ was also accompanied by his fiancée Lauren Pesce, who he will wed before he spends nearly a year behind bars.

Sorrentino’s attorney noted that his client has “accepted the court’s judgement”.

"He is looking forward to marrying his college sweetheart, Lauren Pesce, next month, and moving forward together after he serves his sentence," attorney Henry E Klingeman told E! News.

The second season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is currently airing but it seems Mike might not be around if a third season if the reality show goes ahead.

A sticky situation, indeed.
