Shannon Noll Charged Over Drug Possession At Sydney Hotel
He was allegedly caught with a bag of white powder.
Shannon Noll was arrested and charged with a drug offence on Thursday after he was allegedly caught with a bag of "white powder" following a search at Caringbah Hotel.
Sutherland Shire Police confirmed they had found what they alleged to be cocaine in the possession of the singer.
“Officers from the Sutherland Shire Police Area Command, along with Public Transport & Public Safety Command and the Dog Unit, were conducting a drug operation at a licensed premises on Port Hacking Road at Caringbah,” a NSW Police spokesman said.
“A 42-year-old man was arrested by police after allegedly being detected with white powder, believed to be cocaine."
Noll has been charged with one count of possessing a prohibited drug, and will face Sutherland Local Court on October 11.
It’s not the first time Noll has been in hot water with the law -- in July he was forced to issue an apology to fans after calling an audience member a "fuck head" and offering $100 for someone to "punch that fuck for me".
He was also arrested at a strip club in Adelaide last year following a fight with bouncers, but later had the assault charge from the incident dropped.
The singer is due to resume shows on October 5 at the Miranda Hotel in NSW.
