Ellen Trying To Set-Up Naomi Osaka And Michael B. Jordan Is The Best Ever
Game, set, match-make.
Naomi Osaka may of just won her first grand slam title at the U.S. Open, but she appeared on Ellen to discuss much more important topics: who her celebrity crush is.
"I don't know his name but he was in Black Panther," Osaka told Ellen adding, "but he was the villain."
Ellen immediately hopped into action demanding someone bring her phone over.
"Seriously, somebody get my phone, I will text Michael and I'll tell him that he should meet you," the daytime host told the Tennis champ.
After chatting briefly about what she plans to do with her prize money Ellen got her phone and snapped a pic with the 20-year-old before sending it to the Black Panther star.
Ellen's hard work paid off when Jordan posted a video response to his Twitter where he congratulated her on her incredible win.
It's a moment of good news after Osaka's historic win was overshadowed by the controversy surrounding Serena Williams' clash with the chair umpire during their match.
"When you're little, you're taught not to look if your opponent gets angry, you're taught to turn around and not lose your focus," Osaka said adding that she couldn't hear what was going on.
"I heard a lot of people in the crowd making noises and I really wanted to turn around but I didn't," the young champ said.
Osaka also told Ellen what Williams had whispered in her ear following the match saying, "She said that she was proud of me and that I should know that the crowd wasn’t booing at me... so I was really happy that she said that."
"At the time I did kinda think they were booing at me... I couldn't tell what was going on because it was just so loud in there, so it was a little bit stressful."
