Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness Claps Back At Hate For Wearing Gown On Red Carpet

"I look f**king stunning."

While Queer Eye won three Emmys for Outstanding Structured Reality Program, Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured or Competition Reality Program and Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program, Jonathan Van Ness was busy winning the red carpet in his own right.

The iconic grooming guru of Netflix's Queer Eye, JVN attended the 70th Annual Creative Arts Emmys on Sunday where he looked like an absolute dream in a sparkling gown.

The thigh-high split, sheer top and full major heel was a major moment -- with the 31-year-old captioning a photo from the red carpet with, "We absolutely came to slay this lewk & fuck a gender norm".

But not everyone was feeling the look, with one commenter claiming that "the guy in the dress looks like the villain in Despicable Me 3".

"I look f**king stunning and my name is Jonathan, snap chat filter using on your insta tiny circle private profile having self," JVN clapped back.

He also added another comment, writing: "Also I love all these transphobic comments in here. 'The guy in a dress' is insulting and for anyone that doesn't see the implications is blind. F**king rood (sic) people I'm too tired."

This isn't the first time (and better not be the last) JVN has played with gender norms in his fashion choices, with the Getting Curious podcast host often slaying in a knee-high boot or a major heel paired with stunning outfits.

Meanwhile, some fans were sharing the positive praise JVN received for his bold look (and his stunning legs, honestlyyy).

While there's no denying JVN is an icon, according to the star himself: "The true hero of this picture is my publicist holding my tennis shoes to put on as soon as the last category was called".
