Olivia Newton-John Reveals She's Battling Cancer For The Third Time
The 69-year-old also revealed her natural treatments for pain management.
Olivia Newton-John revealed during Sunday Night that she is battling cancer for the third time in three decades.
The Grease star said doctors found a tumour in her lower back in 2017.
In 1992 Newton-John was diagnosed with breast cancer, then in 2013 it was found in her shoulder and now, she on Sunday revealed, at the base of her spine.
"My husband's always there, and he's always there to support me, and I believe I will win over it and that's my goal," the actor told Seven.
Following her third diagnosis, Newton-John spoke about the treatment she's sought out. Following radiation therapy Newton-John also began to look at natural treatments like cutting out sugar as well as telling Sunday Night she has been using cannabis oil made from plants her husband grows.
"I'm very lucky I live in a state where it's legal," Newton-John said of her US home in California.
Newton-John's husband, John Easterling, is the founder and chairman of a herbal company. "In California it’s legal to grow a certain amount of plants for your own medicinal purposes," Newton-John explained, "So [Easterling] makes me tinctures. They help with pain, they help me sleep."

Newton-John was also spoke about the need for Australia to get around the natural benefits of cannabis.
"My dream is that in Australia soon it will be available to all the cancer patients and people going through cancer or any kind of disease that causes pain," she said adding, "I believe I will win over it."
Despite her ongoing battle, Newton-John held an inspiring perspective saying, "I'm one of millions in this fight -- I shouldn't say fight -- in this journey..."
