Aretha Franklin's Funeral To Pay Respect To The Queen Of Soul In Style
Part music festival, part rally, all celebration of a legend.
Aretha Franklin's memorial will happen on Friday, with the Queen of Soul being laid to rest in Detroit with a star-studded line-up set to perform tributes to her throughout the funeral.
The Queen of Soul even went through a costume change for her second day of public viewing, appearing in a pastel blue dress with matching stilettos.
The funeral will take place at the Greater Grace Temple, where Franklin sang at Rosa Parks' funeral in 2005, and will include performances from Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson, Chaka Khan, Ariana Grande, Faith Hill, Yolanda Adams, Jennifer Holliday and Franklin's son Edward.
Between the incredible line-up of performers, Franklin's funeral will also include speakers like Bill Clinton, reverend Jesse Jackson, Clive Davis, Smokey Robinson, reverend Al Sharpton and Cicely Tyson as well as the Michigan Governor Rick Snyder and Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan.

The service is limited to family, friends and selected guests, and Detroit streets will be closed around the proceedings. Streets will also reportedly be flooded with pink Cadillac cars in honour of Franklin and as a tribute to her hit single "Freeway of Love".
Franklin's funeral may have a limited guest list but it will also be streamed online with sections being broadcast by various news providers.
