Demi Lovato And Ruby Rose Fuel Rumours By Flirting Online
A ten daily investigation.
People are starting to think that Demi Lovato and Ruby Rose are flirting online, leading to rumours that the pair might be hooking up.
Sure, they could just be friends who are chatting online, but where's the fun in that?! Let's look at the evidence of our new favourite potential couple...
So, eagle-eyed fans have noticed that Demi recently went on a liking spree on the Orange is the New Black and xXx: Return of Xander Cage star's Instagram posts -- a very 2018 version of flirting. Back in our day you had to move someone into your MySpace Top 8, now you've just gotta double-tap a few photos? Kids...
Anyway, on Ruby's 4th of July post -- promoting her upcoming film The Meg where Ruby fights a megalodon -- Demi commented some heart emojis to which Ruby responded "hurry!".
We don't know what this means, does it mean "hurry and go see The Meg, opening in theatres August 10"? Does it mean "Hurry, release more music because you're a certified bop-maker and your last album Tell Me You Love Me was very underrated"? "Hurry, let's collab on a shark-themed song to release in line with The Meg opening in theatres August 10"?
We have no clue.
Ruby also posted on her Instagram story, tagging Demi on her crotch in tiny text. Again, people decided this was a sign the pair might be either flirting, hooking up or already back on board.
OKAY SO in case you missed it, this wouldn't be the first time the pair have been romantically linked, in fact, many believe Ruby actually outed Demi way back in 2013.
Ruby tweeted, "I’m like the one person Demi has slept with that didn’t sell on naked photos of her so eff off," before Demi had really spoken about her bisexuality.
After she kinda dropped the bomb, Ruby then followed it up by saying: "Think I'll take a few days off social media whilst @ddlovato’s friends attack me for being a ‘scorned ex-lover’ get over it! I liked the hair".
While Ruby claimed they had at least slept together, stories circled that the pair had been a couple during a break in Demi's six-year relationship with That '70s Show's Wilmer Valderrama as well as Demi's absolute banger of a track "Cool For The Summer" being about Ruby.
Two years after Ruby's tweet, Demi spoke to Complex magazine explicitly stating they had not been a couple -- but she didn't rule out their history.
"You can believe what you want, but no, I was not in a relationship with her. I don’t want people to ever look at the past or rumours or anything and try to figure me out."
In April, Ruby announced she and The Veronicas' Jessica Origliasso had split, posting a statement to Twitter where she explained that they "love each other very much" but that the pair had gone their separate ways.
It's also been an intense few weeks for Demi recently, releasing her surprise single "Sober" which explained that she had relapsed after six years of sobriety.
So now all we have are hints that Demi and Ruby might be back on -- if cute social media interactions are anything to go by.
One thing's for sure, Ruby has literally never held her tongue when it comes to clearing these things up -- so we'll be watching closely to see what she says about the romance rumours.
Also, don't forget The Meg comes out later this year and Ruby Rose will fight a giant shark.
Ok enjoy the rest of your week! Love ya x
