Suspect Arrested In Shooting Death Of Controversial Rapper XXXTentaction

A 22-year-old man has been arrested while authorities seek two more suspects.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested and faced court over the murder of controversial rapper XXXTentacion, aka Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy.

Onfroy was shot on Monday while leaving a motorcycle dealership in Miami, the Broward Sheriff's Office confirmed.

Dedrick Devonshay Williams was arrested on Wednesday evening, however authorities are still seeking two further suspects. No motive was announced in Williams' arrest however it was assumed the shooting was an attempted robbery.

Williams was ordered to be held without bond on the charge of first-degree murder without premeditation.

According to Page Six the 22-year-old posted a threatening message on social media just days after the shooting.

Under the name Chucky Williams the man posed in front of a white car flashing a gold bracelet with the caption, "Don't piss me off u will never know wats next".

XXXTentacion's death was mourned by those in the music industry as well as his ex-girlfriend whom he allegedly physically abused throughout their relationship and while she was pregnant.

The young rapper had a promising music career marred by ongoing allegations against him. He was awaiting trial for domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend and had recently been released from house arrest so he could go on tour.
