This Ridiculously Realistic Wax Ed Sheeran Is Creeping Us Out
Would it hurt your reputation if I put it on wax?
You know how every wax statue looks like if a really talented artist drew a celebrity but the artist was about five wines in?
Well Madame Tussauds London unveiled their Ed Sheeran statue on Tuesday and... it's really realistic.
Like it's so realistic we had to look at the photos to figure out if we were being pranked or not.
Ed Sheeran's wax figure looks more realistic than the real Ed Sheeran.
The figure debuted at a cat cafe in London because, honestly where else are you going to reveal your Ed Sheeran wax statue. Or your real Ed Sheeran? Honestly HONESTLY it is so creepy. This is like some Ed Sheeran Westworld nonsense.
For reference this is the "real" Ed Sheeran which, the longer you look at the more it starts to feel like IT is the poorly constructed re-imagining of its wax counterpart.
And here, for different reference, is the "real" Ed Sheeran standing next to another wax figure:
They even recreated Ed's plethora of tattoos. Were you aware Ed Sheeran had a Puss in Boots tattoo? Because Madame Tusauds apparently were aware.
Ed told MTV that he got the tattoo to pay homage to his song "Wake Me Up", where he talks about Shrek in the song. "Plus, I like cats," he added.
These are legit the lyrics to "Wake Me Up", in case you were not aware:
And I know you love Shrek 'Cause we've watched it twelve times But maybe you're hoping for a fairy tale too And if your DVD breaks, today You shoulda got a VCR 'Cause I never owned a Blu-Ray
So not only does Ed Sheeran's wax figure look more realistic than the actual Ed Sheeran, but it has accurate tattoos and references to Shrek.
What a day.
