Whitney Houston's Estate Slams Kanye West For 'Disgusting' Album Art
Bobby Brown has also added, "somebody needs to slap [Kanye] up or something".
While his wife is just hanging out with the President of the United States, Kanye West has been busy getting into even more drama. Honestly, it's almost as if these people make money on causing stress-headaches.
Earlier this week it was reported that West had licensed a picture of Whitney Houston's drug and alcohol strewn bathroom to use as the album artwork of Pusha-T's album Daytona.
There was obvious outrage, but now Houston's estate has slammed the decision to use the image which reportedly cost West over $100,000 to use.
Speaking to Rolling Stone on Wednesday Bobby Brown called the decision "in really bad taste".
"That's really disgusting that he would do that," Brown said, "He's already crazy. I knew that when I first met him. Now he's pushing the bar a little bit".
He needs somebody to slap him up or something. And I'm just the person to do it."
Earlier in the week Houston's estate also gave a statement to ET saying they were "extremely disappointed" in the choice.
"Even in Whitney’s death, we see that no one is exempt from the harsh realities of the world."
Houston's cousin, Damon Elliott, echoed the sentiment in an interview with People saying, "To do something for a publicity stunt to sell records, it’s absolutely disgusting".
Elliott told People he wasn't aware the image was being used until his daughter called him saying she was "frantic".
"She sent me this picture from the album cover and I immediately got sick to my stomach because it took me right back to six years ago," he said.
