R. Kelly Sued For Sexual Battery By Another Alleged Victim

The singer is also accused of "willfully, deliberately and maliciously" infecting her with herpes.

Another woman has come forward with allegations against R. Kelly.

In a suit filed on Monday on behalf of Faith Rodgers, Kelly has been accused of sexual battery, failure to disclose a sexually transmitted disease and false imprisonment.

Rodgers, who was 19 at the time, claims she was in a relationship with Kelly for nearly a year, during that time she claims she was "mentally, physically and verbally" abused by Kelly.

In an interview with CBS, Rodgers described an incident where she said she was forced to "submit" to sex with the disgraced R&B performer.

"I didn’t really say anything. I kinda just froze up," Rodgers said. "I definitely was uncomfortable, but he has this type of, like, intimidation right off the bat. You know? So I was just waiting for it to be over".

When asked by CBS reporter Jerika Duncan if that kind of occurrence happened often Rodgers claimed it had, "multiple times".

Video has surfaced of Kelly dismissing any claims against him and the attempts to "mute" him saying, "They should have done this shit 30 years ago".

This is just the latest in a string of accusations and claims against Kelly. In July last year BuzzFeed released an investigation into what was described as an abusive "cult" where Kelly was keeping young women against their will.

More recently social media campaigns have been run to #MuteRKelly, which saw some success when streaming platforms Apple Music, Spotify and Pandora all removed his music from curated playlists. His music was not completely removed from the services. It was actually reported that after the sites removed him from featured playlists his weekly streams increased.

In the past Kelly was also illegally married to a 14-year-old, and has been indicted on 21 counts of child pornography ( but he was acquitted of all charges).
