Chance The Rapper Cancels On Splendour In The Grass

Just a day before he was set to close the music festival in Byron, Chance The Rapper has pulled out of his headline performance due to illness.

In a statement to the festival, the rapper announced that he was unable to appear due to an illness preventing him from being able to fly.

Splendour In The Grass announced the news on its social media accounts at on Saturday afternoon, along with the details of the replacement act -- Aussie hip hop group Hilltop Hoods.

Social media was quick to jump on the news, clearly unhappy with the news of Chance's cancellation and the replacement act.

This cancellation comes just a month after Chance cancelled on the Roskilde Festival in Denmark where he was scheduled for a headline set.

According to the festival, refunds will be available to anyone with a Sunday single-day event ticket but only until 9am on Sunday 21st July when the festival gates open.
