Drake Bell Has Teased A 'Drake & Josh' Reboot
Fans of the Nickelodeon series -- which aired from 2004 til 2007 -- may be in for a treat after Drake Bell hinted that there's a possible revival in the works.
Hitting the red carpet at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in L.A. on Thursday, Drake spilled the hot goss, revealing that he and former partner-in-crime Josh Peck are currently in talks with various networks about creating a new project.
“We’re working on something,” Bell told PEOPLE. “I’m excited. I think we have a great idea.”
“[The show] is going to be way more creative, way cooler than just, you know, the college years or something like that,” he continued. “We knew that if we were ever going to come back, it’s got to be something cool. I’m excited to see what the fans think.”
Drake and Josh briefly fell out in 2017, when Drake wasn't invited to Josh's wedding to longtime partner Paige O'Brien, however, the iconic duo made amends soon afterward.
“We’ve known each other for so long, and it really is once in a lifetime in this industry that you get to work with somebody and it clicks like that. He’s just got an amazing comedic wit and incredible timing, and he’s really smart and we really get along,” Bell said at the time.
The OG series followed the pair, who played stepbrothers with clashing personalities that must adapt to their life together, with many comedic misadventures along the way. The show aired on Nickelodeon from 2004 to 2007 and was hugely popular with viewers.
