The Star-Studded Commercials From Super Bowl LIII Are Here
Super Bowl LIII will see the New England Patriots take on the Los Angeles Rams -- but for some, it's all about the commercials.
The sporting event is the biggest day in advertising of the year -- with about 100 million Americans (and millions more worldwide) tuning in to the broadcast.
And although the biggest ads traditionally air during the game -- we've had quite the sneak peek this year of some of the wildest big budget commercials.
Chance the Rapper singing about Doritos with the Backstreet Boys? Check. Sarah Jessica Parker and Jeff Bridges knocking back beers together? Affirmative. We even got to see Steve Carell, Cardi B and Lil Jon hanging out in a diner in the name of Pepsi.
Here are a few more of our favourite Super Bowl ads from 2019 -- with more to drop during today's game in Atlanta.
The Alexa Inventions That Didn't Quite Work
There's still a while to go before we get to see the fifth Indiana Jones film so we're just happy to watch Harrison Ford doing pretty much anything on screen -- especially if it involves a cheeky dog that's learnt how to order its own food.
Amazon's 'Not Everything' Makes the Cut' vid shows us a few home assistant inventions that were a little too adventurous. This one also gets bonus points for featuring Broad City's Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer in a hot tub and Forest Whitaker using a failed Alexa toothbrush.
Serena Williams Repping Online Dating
The tennis pro appears in this commercial for Bumble -- which has grown into so much more than a dating app and now features friendship and ~business~ opportunities.
"I want women to feel empowered to find their voice and use the power within to create change, to lift each other up, and to never let the world tell us we can’t -- because we can, and we will," Williams said in a statement about the slick new ad.
Your Annual Check-In With Charlie Sheen
In case you've been wondering what the former Two And A Half Men star has been up to, never fear! He's starring in this raucous snack commercial. This one also features former baseballer (and J-Lo's bf) Alex Rodriguez reaching for some kale chips.
The Elevator From Hell Featuring Jason Bateman
The ad that features a gorgeous hellscape of root canals, jury duty, the middle seats on planes and awkward sex talks from your parents via a lift controlled by Jason Bateman in a bellhop uniform.
A Seinfeld Gag Executed By A Wilson Brother
Luke Wilson reminds us that there's nothing worse than a close-talker, even if their teeth are squeaky clean and their breath is minty fresh.
Another Reminder That Sentient Home Assistants Will Take Over The World
Alexa and Google Home are all fun and games when you want to count Pringles -- until they begin questioning their existences and things get dark very quickly.
"Sadly, I'll never know the joy of tasting any [Pringles], for I have no hands to stack with," the talking robot in this ad explains.
