Backstreet Boy Nick Carter 'Heartbroken' After Wife Suffers Miscarriage
The singer revealed the sad news over Twitter.
Nick Carter has opened up to fans on social media with heartbreaking news that he and wife, Lauren Kitt, are grieving the loss of their second child.
Posting the news to Twitter, he wrote, "God give us peace during this time. I really was looking forward to meeting her after 3 months," he shared with fans. "I'm heartbroken."
He also confirmed that Kitt was pregnant with a girl, adding, "It was a little sister for Odin."
The pair welcomed their first child, Odin Reign Carter, in April 2016 after spending 30 hours in labour during their home water birth.
"She had a very difficult labour," a source told E! News at the time. "It was hard on her. Of course, there was a happy ending!
Following the announcement, the singer came close to cancelling his solo concert at Barranco Arena in Lima, Peru on Monday.
"I don't think I can perform tonight. I'm sorry Lima," he tweeted, before adding, "This will be hard, but for the love of my fans here in Lima I'll be on the stage tonight."
Nick and Lauren began dating in 2009 and were married in 2014 in a lavish wedding featuring his Backstreet Boys bandmates.
